Kevin M. Hughes
Associate Attorney
As the second oldest of ten siblings (seven sisters, two brothers) and a proud father of three, Attorney Kevin Hughes puts his first focus on ensuring that the best interest of children is being met – even during the most heated divorce and custody cases. A single father himself, Kevin is known by his peers to be even-tempered, logical and he keeps his emotions under control.
Born and raised in Springfield on Hungry Hill, Attorney Hughes continues to make his home in Western Massachusetts. He’ll regularly appear before the courts in Hampden County, Hampshire County, Franklin County and Berkshire County. Kevin is proud of the reputation he and the firm have established representing clients in divorce, modification, and child support cases.
Not only will Kevin advocate for his client in the most complicated property division cases, but his LLM in elder law and estate planning comes as a great tool when clients revisit all of the same types of decisions they once did during marriage. Since most people agree how their ex-spouse is the last person they want to inherit their assets when they die – or to have that person make life and death decisions for them – Attorney Hughes addresses the issues of health plan directives, living will and wills, as well as beneficiary matters on retirement funds and life insurance.
