Decline in national and Massachusetts divorce rates

Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that the prophets of doom and gloom about divorce and its consequences may need to rethink their arguments. According to the CDC, the divorce rate declined between 1990 and 2011 in all states that reported to the CDC, based on calculations of divorces per 1,000 people. This is presumably positive news for those who see divorce as an indicator of societal fracturing.
